Travel with 10 months old baby - Bangalore to Mysore

Everytime we go to Mysore, we find something new and refreshing. Yes, it was our fourth trip and
this was a special one because we were traveling with our 10 months old Aayansh baby boy.

This became a group trip as our friends also joined.

Since we stay in East Bangalore(renamed as Bengaluru), so getting train from KR Puram railway station is very easy and convenient, without worrying about the worst Bangalore traffic.

Luckily we found a train which was suitable for our timing. Since we could not find reservation from
this station, we took a general ticket by which we could board the train. We had our reservation from
KSR Bengaluru central and from KR Puram the train journey is around 30 minutes.

So, after 2 and half hours of sleepy journey, we reached to Mysuru(earlier Mysore) Junction and since the morning time was baby's sleeping time, he was sleeping on my shoulder.

We got down and reached outside of station via station subway and the walls were beautifully painted by drawing forts, palaces, nature etc which are attraction in Karnataka.

I had a complete look outside and the city was same - peaceful, clean and simple.

We reached our Hotel in Sri Harsha road, the best location I consider by taking an Prepaid Auto.

Day 1 :

Since we checked in early, we could plan the day 1 in better way. We had yummy breakfast in nearby
restaurant and then started for the tour.

I feel more comfortable by taking a local auto instead of taking a cab which a hotel arranges in
a small city.

St. Philomena’s Cathedral Church :

It took just 10 minutes and reached to the old Church. People mostly click pictures here from outside.

Mysore Zoo:

After spending around 1 hr, we headed for the zoo.

We opted a golf battery car inside the zoo because of the baby. The group tour was for 1 hour and the guide cum driver stopped at all important stops. The main attraction was Giraffe, Tigers, Snakes etc.

This zoo is so big and well maintained.

Mysuru Sand Sculpture Museum:
This place is also nearby while returning from zoo. In Mysore there is no need to worry about distance, all are nearby.

The last time I visited this place, the sculpture was looking good but this seems very dull this time. You can skip this as well.

Melody World Wax Museum:
For first time visitors this is good to visit. We skipped this as we already visited this place and baby was not feeling comfortable after spending the whole day outside, so completed the day tour and returned to hotel.
Dinner Time:
After getting refreshed we came to Park Lane Hotel's Beer Garden to have dinner and enjoyed the time. I like the roof top bar and restaurant where you can enjoy live Indian classic music.

If I compare from Bangalore restaurants the food does not stand up to the mark but I enjoy ambiance here.

Cheers!!!
